Notes to editors Nimbus Foods is part of Glisten plc, a fast-growing confectionery and snack foods group. It serves a wide variety of customers including many high street retailers, major food manufacturers, the foodservice sector and export markets. The principal activities of Glisten are the manufacture of chocolate and sugar-based confectionery, specialist confectionery ingredients for other food manufacturers, and cereal and health bars. The acquisition of Lyme Regis Fine Foods during December 2005 placed Glisten into the market for organic and natural health bars. These activities are all underpinned by a strong focus on market research, product innovation and customer partnerships. In the specialist ingredients (' inclusions') and cereal bar sectors Glisten has integrated relationships with some of Europe's biggest brand-name food companies. Glisten's Head Office is in Harewood, near Leeds. It listed on the AiM market in June 2002. The Company employs approximately 700 people across its six UK manufacturing sites supplying the UK and more than 20 other countries around the globe. |
