We are proud to announce a strategic partnership with Herza which will see Meadow Foods & Nimbus Foods distribute Herza’s range of products to customers across the UK. Herza, based in Hamburg, Germany, is a leading producer of functional chocolate and compounds for use in food manufacturing.
Herza manufacture a range of functional chocolate ingredients for use in ice cream, muesli, bake mixes, confections and dairy products, in a wide range of shapes and variants. Herza’s products compliment the existing range of inclusions offered by Nimbus Foods and allows both businesses to extend their ranges and capabilities to UK customers.
Herza’s portfolio include; chocolate drops, pieces, chunks and nuggets as well as coated or compound versions designed for use in a range of food sectors including; bakery, dessert, confectionary and snack manufacturing. The products will continue to be manufactured in Germany but will now be distributed through our network to customers in the UK.
We will be offering sampling of the new product range to customers from Spring 2021 and Herza products will be included in new product innovations that involve chocolate. The addition of Herza’s ranges add to Nimbus Foods’ current specialities that include hard toffee, soft caramels and honeycomb, as well as a range of biscuit, cereal and sugar inclusions.

Meadow Foods is an award winning company that operates from four BRC AA accredited sites in Chester, Peterborough, Holme-on-Spalding Moor and Dolgellau where they manufacture value added ingredients 7 days a week for some of the UK’s best known food manufacturers. The company currently employs more than 450 people and handles in excess of 500 million litres of milk each year direct from its network of dedicated milk producers across the UK.
